Policies

Thank you for considering visiting our alpaca farm! To ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors and to maintain the well-being of our alpacas, we have established the following booking policy:

  1. Reservation Requirements:

    • All visits to the alpaca farm must be booked in advance through our online booking system or by contacting us directly. Access to the farm is very limited so we need to manage our daily numbers.

    • We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your experience start time to give yourself enough time to check in.

  2. Group Size Limit:

    • To provide an intimate and personalised experience, we limit the group size for each booking. The maximum group size allowed is 12.

  3. Minimum Age Requirement:

    • For the safety of our visitors and animals, children must be accompanied by an adult (18+) ticketholder at all times during the visit.

    • Children 0-2 years must be in a carrier, or be able to walk alone.

    • Children 0-2 years must sit on parents lap during The Alpaca Tea Party.

    • Children under 10 years old must share an alpaca with an adult ticketholder during the MaccPacas Experience.

  4. Cancellation Policy:

    • We understand that plans may change. Cancellations made 7 or more days in advance of the scheduled visit will receive a full refund.

    • Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled visit are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of ticket price or may be rescheduled based on availability.

    • No shows will not be eligible for a refund.

  5. Late Arrival Policy:

    • Please arrive on time for your scheduled visit. We recommend arriving 10 minutes prior to your experience start time to give you enough time to check in. Late arrivals may result in a shortened visit duration to accommodate other bookings.

    • If you are over 20 minutes late, you will not be able to partake in the experience and you will not be eligible for a refund.

  6. Health and Safety Guidelines:

    • Visitors are required to follow all health and safety guidelines provided by our staff during the visit. Visitors will be given a brief safety briefing before meeting the Alpacas and will be asked to submit a release. Anyone who does not submit this release will not be permitted 1on1 time with the Alpacas.

    • Pregnant visitors: While alpacas themselves don’t pose a specific, unique threat to pregnant women, precautions should be taken when visiting any farm or interacting with livestock. We recommend pregnant woman to wash their hands thoroughly after being in contact with the alpacas and participate knowing the risks involved with being around animals, such as: kicking/spitting/spread of disease.

    • Please refrain from feeding the alpacas any outside food or treats unless provided by the farm staff.

  7. Weather Conditions:

    •  At Macclesfield Alpacas, the safety of our visitors, staff, and alpacas is our top priority. In the event of adverse weather conditions, we may need to cancel scheduled Alpaca Experiences. This decision is made with everyone’s well-being in mind, especially as access to our farm involves a single-track road that can become hazardous in poor weather. If your booking is affected, we will notify you as soon as possible and work with you to reschedule your experience or provide a refund. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in these circumstances. However, our farm generally operates rain or shine, so don't forget to bring your wellies and raincoat!

  8. Special Requests:

    • If you have any special requests or accommodations needed for your visit, please inform us at the time of booking, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

By booking a visit to our alpaca farm, you agree to abide by the above booking policy. We look forward to welcoming you to our farm and sharing the joy of alpaca encounters with you!
